Nice video. I watched it a while back, and it was a big factor in deciding to buy a FG. So, thanks! I’ve had it for a couple weeks, and have been working on it a bit and playing it a bunch.

I’d like to offer a few points of clarification, in no particular order. I know I’ve only had the game a short while, but I’m >99% about all of the following.

    A) Lighting all 8 lights on the bottom playfield not only enables the 3X playfield activator at the scoop, but it also awards the 100K Super Bonus, which is collected (only) when you drain, assuming no tilt. I suspect Bowen knows this info, but I think this might clarify what’s said in the video a bit.

    B) Similar to A, lighting the 1-2-3 lights on the top playfield not only enables the 2X playfield activator at the scoop, but it also awards the 50K Mini Bonus, which is collected (only) when you drain, assuming no tilt.

    C) The Collect Bonus award on the top right — the one that returns to the plunger — awards . This shot has two real benefits: 1) It allows you to potentially multiply the bonus collect by the playfield multiplier; 2) If your bonus is maxed out or close, because it resets your bonus, it allows you to start re-accumulating the lower playfield bonus count.

    D) Similar to C, the Collect Bonus award on the top center — the one that’s available when you light 1-2-3 the second time — awards It has similar real benefits to the other Collect bonus award.

    E) When extra balls are disabled, or you have claimed the maximum extra balls allowed for the current game (or ball, depending on setup), the standup target behind the in-line drop targets awards 25 K.

    F) Bowen didn’t directly say this, but he was starting to hint that you need to mentally keep track of whether the scoop will be kicking down (odd) or up (even). Note that the lights below the scoop will strobe in the direction that the ball is about to kick, so keeping track might be fun but isn’t really necessary.

    Hope this helps somebody.

Fixing C and D, because I used characters that made some of the text disappear, removing some actual useful info.

      C) The Collect Bonus award on the top right — the one that returns to the plunger — awards the LOWER playfield bonus x the playfield multiplier x .the bonus multiplier. This shot has two real benefits: 1) It allows you to potentially multiply the bonus collect by the playfield multiplier; 2) If your bonus is maxed out or close, because it resets your bonus, it allows you to start re-accumulating the lower playfield bonus count.

      D) Similar to C, the Collect Bonus award on the top center — the one that’s available when you light 1-2-3 the second time — awards the UPPER playfield bonus x the playfield multiplier x .the bonus multiplier. It has similar real benefits to the other Collect bonus award.

Steve nailed it – so everyone out there with a flash gordon . . . see if you can collect both upper and lower bonuses maxed at 25x . . . it makes your machine sound like it’s going to explode.
